A LotRO Cosmetic History

The captain, a craftsman

Here the captain has adopted garb with the sort of fine styling suited to a leader, but hardy and subtly colored to serve as practical metalsmithing gear when somebody needs a new breastplate or helm. Some of the pieces will be familiar from other recent outfits, but with a bit of dye here and repurposing there, they contribute to a thoroughly different look that could almost blend in with the commoners in the regions of men.

Head: (optional) Mathom-hunter’s Helmet, walnut brown (hobbit present – medium armour)
Shoulders: Vibrant Calenard War Pauldrons, washed (T7 heavy crafted)
Chest: Disused Robe of the Dunland Soothsayer, undyed (Dunland quest reward)
Hands: Rider’s Studded Gauntlets, umber (Nan Curunir quest reward)
Legs: Hill-man’s Cracked Leather Leggings, steel blue (Dunland quest reward)
Feet: Woodsman’s Supple Boots, walnut brown (Gap of Rohan quest reward)

Though she often crafts and needs no helm for that, Aerynsol will gladly don a walnut brown Mathom-hunter’s Helmet to head out into the field and do battle with the rabid boars, wights, and southron brigands plaguing Bree-land.
